Penfound Insurance has been in business since 1935 when founder Merle Penfound began offering Grange Insurance. Merle worked out of his farm house and spoke to customers at the kitchen table. The agency grew through the ownership of his son, Bob, and grandson and current owner, Barry Penfound. As an independent agency, Penfound Insurance represents a range of providers to give you the best combination of price and service. While Penfound Insurance is a Senior Partner with Grange Insurance, and we also feature other companies like Progressive Insurance and Hagerty Insurance. We are proud to offer insurance and other financial services to more than 3,000 customers through our Elyria and Avon offices, with our daily goal of offering the best combination of price and service to our growing list of friends.
